Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 3 – 12 months

Interview process: In-person interview tentatively scheduled for Thursday 7/20

The selected candidates will work on full lifecycle, Scrum team development tasks, and maintenance activities related to our eService and Digital eXperience programs. Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with architects and technical leads on software design, prototyping, and development
• Developing software according to architecture design and best practices
• Conducting unit and integration testing
• Participating in code reviews
• Mentoring junior resources and enforcing best practices
• Providing operational support and maintenance programming

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6+ years of professional Java enterprise development experience
• Proficiency with the latest Java/JEE technologies
• Experience with open-source frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MyBatis
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with UI frameworks like JQuery, AJAX, AngularJS
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working in a UNIX environment (AIX)
• Independent, proactive, team-oriented
