Refugee Navigator

As the Refugee Navigator's position aims at addressing the specific needs of refugee students under the Help Me Grow and Help Me Thrive North Texas system of care. The Refugee Navigator will, in a culturally appropriate manner, address unique issues refugee students, their families, and educators face, as well as navigate families to the right resources to overcome barriers to the student's academic success.
Minimum qualifications:
Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree
Defined Education : Health and human services or nursing (Degrees considered: social, behavioral, or human services include psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, and physician assisted studies)
Preferences : Fluency in one or more refugee languages
Substitutions : None
Years' Experience : One (1) year
Defined Experience : Experience working with the refugee population
License/Certifications:
Valid Texas Driver's License
