Any user can ask any question across billions of records via a ChatGPT-like interface, understand “why” metrics change via AI insights that surface hidden key drivers and trends, and leverage agentic flows to perform complex multipart analysis easily — in a self-service manner. Unlike traditional BI tools, Tellius excels at ad hoc analysis, deep dives, and business-friendly advanced analytics. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our AI team. This is a high-impact, IC-focused role for someone who wants to build scalable AI systems that power real-world decision-making. What You’ll Do Architect and implement core infrastructure for AI agents and orchestration (e.g., LangChain, custom frameworks) Build and optimize backend services using Python and SQL to support AI workloads Engage with design partners and early customers to validate architecture, use cases, and product direction Develop robust data pipelines and work with large, complex datasets Contribute to agentic application design, grounding LLMs in structured data and business logic Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and design to ship production-ready features Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers What We’re Looking For Must-Have Experience: 2-6 years of professional software engineering experience Deep knowledge of AI engineering and agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) Strong backend skills with Python , SQL , and database design Experience working with data systems and building scalable infrastructure Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Spark , Scala , or distributed compute frameworks Exposure to AI applications in B2B or enterprise environments Previous experience at an early-stage startup Familiarity with data engineering, ETL pipelines, or analytics workflows Why Tellius Work at the cutting edge of AI and decision intelligence Small team, big ownership.
