Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance and streamline the assembly processes for our optoelectronic products. This role involves improving product consistency, conducting experiments to refine production methods, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine production methods for assembling camera and laser sensor systems. Create and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions. Set and monitor statistical quality targets such as SPC and Cpk. Analyze production data to identify and resolve causes of defects or inefficiencies. Design custom tools and automation software solutions to improve efficiency. Lead continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and customer-specific standards. Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related defects in products or processes, including implementing Kaizen and 5S methodologies.
Essential Skills
Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field). 35+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with automation and fixture/tooling design. Familiarity with Python programming. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in semiconductor manufacturing. Understanding of software-hardware integration. Experience working with lasers and cameras.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and requires a high level of independence. The position involves working with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools, including automation and custom fixtures. Compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001/AS9100 and ITAR/EAR is essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.70/hr.
