SharePoint Online Administrator / M365 Specialist

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Online Administrator / M365 Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft 365 collaboration environment. This role requires in-depth expertise in SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft 365 compliance and governance, and related tools such as PowerShell and Azure AD Connect. You will lead initiatives such as site architecture planning, migration projects, permission management, compliance policy implementation, and integrations with business applications.

Roles & Responsibilities • Administer and manage SharePoint Online, including Team Sites, Hub Sites, Classic Sites, and the Record Center. • Manage all SharePoint Online settings and features • SharePoint Online Incident and Service management • Managing SharePoint permissions • Analyzing and reporting upon SharePoint usage and activity • Creation of new Site Collections, Sites, Lists and Libraries • Moving/copying sites, contents in libraries and lists • Trouble shooting OOTB and existing features and End user Query Resolution • Setting up alerts and enforcing policies • Any enhancements and integrations to the M365 SharePoint tenant • Proven experience in SharePoint Online administration and M365 ecosystem. • Expertise in PowerShell scripting and SharePoint PnP modules. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Compliance Center features, DLP, IRM, and Retention strategies. • Experience with Azure AD Connect, DirSync, and user synchronization methods. • Demonstrated success in SharePoint site migrations, permission management, and app deployment. • Hands-on experience managing and resolving OneDrive sync issues. • Strong grasp of SharePoint metadata, content types, search schemas, and document libraries. • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, adaptive scopes, and governance frameworks. • Oversee OneDrive for Business administration, including sync issues, external sharing and dashboard monitoring (e.g., Sync Health Dashboard). • Manage all OneDrive settings and features • Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 compliance policies, including: o Retention Policies o Retention Labels o DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Policies o Adaptive and Static Scopes • Handle SharePoint Migration from Classic to Modern experience s. • Manage permissions, M365 groups, and ownerless site content. • Deploy and manage SharePoint Apps using SharePoint PnP and PowerShell scripting. • Integrate SharePoint Online with external business applications and manage content types, metadata, crawled/managed properties, and custom workflows. • Administer the Message Center and Service Health Center for proactive monitoring and response. • Support DirSync, Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Sync for identity and directory management. • Manage user profiles and optimize SharePoint Online Search experiences. • Provide support for Office 365 Groups and their integration with SharePoint. • Ensure content protection and access management via Information Rights Management (IRM). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for ongoing restructuring and digital transformation.

Salary Range- $100,000-$120,000 a year
