About the Role The Chief Marketing Officer role is a critical leadership position. It requires a rare combination of a data-driven, demand generation mindset and a creative, compelling storytelling ability. The role is responsible for building and leading a world-class marketing organization from the ground up, generating high-quality pipeline for the sales team, and elevating the brand to establish the organization as a dominant force in the cybersecurity industry. Key Responsibilities Demand Generation & Pipeline Acceleration: Develop and execute a comprehensive, full-funnel marketing strategy to drive significant pipeline growth and exceed revenue targets. Lead all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, paid social, and retargeting campaigns, with a relentless focus on ROI. Implement and optimize account-based marketing (ABM) programs to target key enterprise accounts and support the sales team. Oversee marketing operations, technology, and analytics to ensure campaigns are measurable and data is actionable. Collaborate closely with the sales leadership team to align on strategy, messaging, and lead handoff processes. Brand Building & Storytelling: Craft and champion a powerful and differentiated brand story that resonates with the target audience and sets it apart from the competition. Lead content marketing efforts, transforming complex technical topics into engaging, insightful, and shareable thought leadership content. Build and manage the public relations strategy to secure top-tier media coverage and speaking opportunities. Manage all brand touchpoints, including the website, events, and collateral, ensuring a consistent and professional brand identity. Position the organization as a visionary leader and trusted partner in the cybersecurity community. Leadership & Strategy: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources strategically to maximize impact and efficiency. Serve as a key member of the executive team, providing strategic input and contributing to the overall business direction. Report on marketing performance to the executive team and board, using data to inform decisions and demonstrate marketing's impact on business outcomes. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 3 years as a senior marketing leader (VP or higher) in a high-growth B2B SaaS company. Demonstrable track record of success in both demand generation and brand building. A portfolio of work showing ability to both drive leads and tell a compelling story is required. Deep expertise in B2B marketing channels, technologies (e.g., marketing automation, CRM), and analytics. Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively. A proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent.
