Summary
The Warranty Administrator prepares, records and submits warranty claims to the factory and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Processes warranty claims for each manufacturer or warranty provider in a timely manner. Verify and ensure the accuracy of warranty information, including labor, parts, and repair orders. Track and follow up on claim approvals, denials, and adjustments. Communicate with service technicians, service advisors, and managers to clarify warranty coverage and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized records of all warranty claims and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies. Monitor and report on warranty claim statuses and reimbursements. Assist in maintaining warranty manuals, bulletins, and updates from the manufacturer. Provide administrative support to the Service Department as needed. Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer relations skills Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking ability High school diploma or equivalent required Prior retail or automotive service sales experience required Basic understanding of vehicle components and common repair issues. Familiarity with dealership management systems and online manufacturer warranty portals
