Key Job Responsibilities: Achieve a zero-workplace injury and incident record by maintaining a clean and organized workplace using Lean manufacturing and 5S techniques. Comply with all safety requirements, including attendance in monthly safety training and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Provide proper training for Graphic Technicians regarding ink management procedures and "on press" performance. Maintain proper inventory levels to support the press schedules while also meeting inventory targets. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the weighing, dispensing, and blending of inks to meet customer color and quality control standards/specifications. Oversee color matching processes, including the maintenance of customer formulation files. Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials, ensuring appropriate record-keeping. Ensure Graphic Technicians adhere to waste procedures in alignment with customer specifications. Coordinate scheduling and assignment of tasks for all Graphic Technicians to ensure ink-to-press is maintained and serviced, while managing overtime costs effectively. Provide technical support and troubleshoot press/ink-related issues. Document and communicate technical issues to the technical service team. Maintain an action register for customer/ink room process improvements. Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing and quality control records, ensuring production schedules are met, including ink adjustments at press, press downtime, and root cause/corrective actions. Fill in as needed to cover Graphic Technician responsibilities. Maintain performance records for Graphic Technicians, approve time cards, and recommend promotions or compensation increases for direct reports. Skills and Certifications:

Ink Technician experience Experience managing a multi-shift team SOP creation and documentation expertise

The successful candidate will be a leader in both people and processes. They must have expertise in the ink industry to service high-value customers, along with excellent communication and management skills. Building a strong team and creating buy-in for customer success is critical. The candidate will also need to be flexible with work hours, providing leadership as needed during off-shifts and special projects.
