About the job Electrical Estimator
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Estimator
to join our Evansville team. In this role, you will prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from conceptual design-build to general tender work. You will play a critical role in supporting project success by providing accurate and timely estimates, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring competitive pricing.
Schedule:
Regular Hours (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment. Analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to determine material and labor requirements. Draft requests for quotations to obtain competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing. Use estimating software, such as
Accubid Classic or Anywhere , for precise calculations. Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads. Review electrical sub-trade scopes and ensure alignment with project requirements. Maintain organized documentation and manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Perform additional duties as assigned to support company objectives. Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; trade experience considered. Minimum of 2+ years of
electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry. Strong knowledge of electrical sub-trades and the ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and estimating software ( Accubid
preferred). Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors. Skills:
