About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
IT Testing Lead Consultant
to oversee and lead the testing efforts for various IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT testing, quality assurance, and project management, with the ability to lead teams and engage with stakeholders effectively to ensure that testing processes align with project goals and deliverables.
You will work in a consulting capacity with our clients to establish and execute best practices for software testing, and to ensure quality outcomes for complex IT systems and applications. Key Responsibilities:
Lead Testing Initiatives : Manage and lead testing projects, including defining testing strategies, creating test plans, and overseeing execution of test cases for large-scale IT solutions. Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to timelines. Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and clients to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. Testing Methodology : Establish and implement testing best practices, including manual and automated testing strategies, performance testing, and regression testing. Test Planning and Execution : Create comprehensive test plans and lead the execution of test cases across all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Defect Management : Oversee defect management processes, including identification, reporting, and tracking issues to resolution. Test Reporting : Prepare and present test results, status reports, and other documentation for stakeholders, ensuring that key risks and issues are communicated clearly. Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and techniques. Tool and Automation Strategy : Evaluate and implement test automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. Risk Assessment and Mitigation : Assess testing risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and quality assurance. Qualifications:
Experience : At least 7+ years of experience in IT testing with 2+ years in a leadership or consulting role. Skills : In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps). Expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JMeter, TestComplete). Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Quality Center). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with testing processes. Strong understanding of databases and SQL for data validation and query-based testing. Certifications : ISTQB or similar testing certifications preferred. Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Leadership : Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring testing teams. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to resolving issues. Adaptability : Ability to thrive in dynamic environments with changing priorities. Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) and associated testing strategies. Experience in performance and load testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Apache JMeter). Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments. Knowledge of security testing practices and tools. Why Join Us:
