Description
The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs (KDVA) is charged with ensuring that all Kentucky veterans andtheir families obtain the benefits and services they have earned.
KDVA administers numerous veterans' programs and facilities such as: Veterans Benefits Homeless Veterans Women Veterans Educational Benefits Employment Services 5 State Veterans Cemeteries 5 State Veterans Centers for long-term nursing care We are seeking a detail-oriented, and experienced Compliance Officer located in Frankfort, KY, to overseeregulatory compliance for our skilled nursing state veterans' homes.
This individual will ensure adherence toall federal, state, and local regulations, with a focus on patient safety, privacy, quality of care andoperational ethics. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and apassion for maintaining high standards of resident care.
Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following:
Ideal candidate has skilled nursing facility compliance experience. Self-starter with audit experience in a long-term care setting. Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance knowledge is a plus. Excellent communicator, capable of clear, concise reporting. Capable of working with multiple teams. The ideal candidate will work independently yet be part of a larger team to meet our commitment to serveKentucky's Veterans.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have four years of program compliance experience in a healthcare setting or a related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in program compliance in a healthcare setting or a related field will substitute the education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Office Setting or long-term care facility setting including a variety of offices, veterans living quarters and other work areas and environments.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
