Talascend is currently seeking a HR Generalist for an opportunity with our client in Toledo, Ohio.
Overview
As an HR Generalist, you will assist in ensuring a smooth and efficient manufacturing operation by providing employment support for hourly bargaining unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience.
Responsibilities Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies. Manage the day-to-day employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc. Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce. Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology. Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives. Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 1+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experience Utilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development Analyze and utilize data to make decisions Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Suite Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
