UofL Hospital's West Tower will include a new 24-bed observation unit, 6 additional operating rooms as well as the option for more private beds throughout the remainder of the hospital.With more than 1.5 million patients seeking care through UofL Health each year, the new West Tower will help UofL Hospital operate at a higher capacity. The combined impact of the additional beds and the observation unit creates room for nearly 100 more patients and reduces wait times as patients transition between different levels of care.
