General Statement of Duties: The Career Development Center at Worcester State University is seeking a part-time Student Engagement Coordinator to support the office during a staff member's FMLA leave. This temporary contract position plays a key role in student-facing engagement efforts and programming. The Coordinator will work closely with our Lead Student Engagement Intern and other staff members to ensure seamless delivery of services and events during the Fall 2025 semester.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CDC team and Lead Student Engagement Intern to plan, promote, and execute student engagement events Support outreach efforts to increase student participation in workshops, fairs, and on-campus recruiting events Assist in managing communications with students via email, social media, and event platforms (Handshake, etc.) Track and report attendance and engagement data Contribute to student-centered campaigns and initiatives related to career readiness Represent the CDC at select campus events and classroom presentations as needed Support administrative and logistical tasks to keep student engagement programming on track Conduct student drop-ins and provide basic support for career-related questions and resources Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field preferred Experience in career services, student engagement, or event coordination strongly preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Familiarity with platforms such as Handshake, Google Suite, and Canva is a plus Ability to work collaboratively with student interns and professional staff
