Position Summary
Clean and maintain a wide variety of City buildings and facilities; perform a variety of custodial tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping and dusting; assist with set up and break down of various rooms, sites and special events and perform a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Some custodial experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire. Preferred Knowledge
Basic custodial practices General cleaning and maintenance techniques Safe use of cleaning chemicals and agents Occupational hazards and standard safety practices Preferred Skills & Abilities
Perform all types of custodial and routine building maintenance tasks Operate a variety of custodial equipment in a safe and effective manner Learn to work independently in the absence of supervision Communicate clearly and concisely Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
