Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Mechanical Technician (2nd Shift, 2:00pm - 10:30pm)
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electromechanical systems used in our food production processes. Your expertise will ensure that our production lines operate efficiently and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
What you'll do: Perform regular and emergency maintenance on equipment such as conveyor belts, packaging machines, and automated systems Troubleshoot and repair 24V and 120V control voltage systems, including PLC diagnosis and troubleshooting as needed Conduct mechanical repairs on pneumatic and hydraulic systems; assist with fabrication as needed TIG welding to meet 3A sanitary standards for food-grade applications Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment, including upgrades and retrofits Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company policies Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance, and equipment performance Collaborate closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff Other duties as assigned by manager What we're looking for:
Associate's degree or certification in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Journeyman's card preferred 5-7 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance required Food industry or manufacturing experience preferred Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. TIG welding skills to meet 3A standards. Proficient in troubleshooting 120v and 24v systems, PLCs, pneumatic/hydraulic components, fabrication, and TIG welding Strong understanding of electrical circuits, PLCs, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions while following safety protocols Benefits of Working at PS Seasoning:
