Responsibilities include ongoing management of information security policies, procedures and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all organizational healthcare information systems. Responsible for ensuring LRH information systems security policies/procedures are designed, implemented, managed and enforced, using industry best practices, with focus on security directives as mandated by HIPAA and other regulatory entities. Evaluates information systems security risks and requirements for all LRH information systems, according to their technical judgment, polices, procedures, protocols and standards. Provides operational information security support with focus upon account management. Conducts analysis/troubleshooting of all information security related issues, and provides feedback on issue resolution. Updates technical specification documentation, support manuals, and testing plans. Works in obtaining business requirements, and making recommendation based on solution knowledge on design.

Standard Work Duties: IS Security Analyst II Identifies opportunities for activities related to team development, employee engagement activities, and achievement of department goals and objectives. Demonstrates knowledge of all systems/technology necessary to complete duties, which includes providing end user technical support of systems . Provides feedback to assess and improve systems and technologies. Serves as an information security system consultant within department and for direct customers. This includes gathering business requirements. With input from department experts is able to formulating solutions based on the requirements. Participates in the ongoing maintenance of information security system applications (such as access management). Provides feedback on how to improve and/or automate maintenance efforts. Proactively facilitates communication with areas of responsibility and within the department. Creates relationships built on trust and results with customers. Assists in training, and mentors others. Follows and provides feedback on Information Security Services methodologies, processes, policies, and procedures. Including but not limited to change management, documentation, and issue resolution. Conducts periodic reviews to ensure that all systems are accurate and secure. Resolves complex tickets. Documents resolution. Demonstrates a complete understanding of the solution(s) they support through application build, testing, and configuration. Demonstrates the ability to make both business process and system recommendations based on business problems and organizational requirements. Provides a variety of reports to approved users regarding security information, both scheduled and on demand.

Competencies & Skills

Essential:

Advanced level of business and analytical critical thinking. Write concise, logical, grammatically correct technical documents. Ability to communicate, collaborate, and participates on enterprise level projects. Extensive knowledge of Directory Services (LDAP, AD) and Internet/Intranet architecture and design. Experience in using information security system applications. Limited experience in the build, implementation, configuration of these applications. Ability to coordinate and provide feedback on security assessments and audits against policies/procedures/best practices. Assists in the development of remediation recommendations based on audit findings. Nonessential:

Strong knowledge of HIPAA, PCI, and other regulations and standards that apply to healthcare. Qualifications & Experience

Other information: Experience Essential: Strong experience with information security systems analysis, troubleshooting and working in a team environment to implement new processes and information security systems. Experience Preferred: Experience in a healthcare information security setting. Certification Essential: CISSP (must obtain within 6 months of accepting the role) Certification Preferred: ITIL Foundation
