Farmer's Table
Farmers Table is looking to hire an experienced pastry assistant to assist in all aspects of the daily restaurant production. We are a scratch bakery using organic ingredients. All dessert products are made in house.
Responsibilities to include:
- Create and prepare all pastry items needed for service, including cakes, fillings, scones, sauces, ice creams and banquet production
- Plating of desserts
-Carefully follows exact recipes
-Responsible for weekly bakery inventory and rotating food supplies on hand
-Maintains clean and sanitary bakery
-Covers all plating shifts as needed for call outs and vacations
Qualifications
-Minimum 2 years in pastry kitchen
- Culinary degree in Pastry
-Knowledge of high volume or banquet service
- Be able to work in pressurized environment and remain calm
Requirements
- Be able to work 10 hour shifts
- Able to lift 50LB
-Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
-Punctual and disciplined to maintain optimal work enviroment
-Able to follow instructions and recipes accurately
-Confident in pastry techniques and skills
