Summary of Position:

The Accountant will be primarily responsible for maintaining the financial books and records for TSCE, Associates, and Innovation entities. In addition, this role will collaborate closely and interact regularly with the CBRE Accounts Payable team.

Key Responsibilities:

On a daily basis:

  • Prepare, review & process invoices and journal entries as needed.
  • Monitor bank accounts.
  • Work closely with the outsourced AP/AR firm and Treasury department on payment inquiries when needed.
  • Maintain Notes Payable Schedules and cash logs
  • Manage group calendar of anticipated capital calls and distribution process.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for invoices, capital calls, distributions support.
  • Prepare all receivable invoices and correspond with employees and vendors when necessary to follow up on payment.
  • Prepare and import large scale Corporate Recharge re-allocation entries.
  • When necessary, provide information to various functional departments for them to complete the monthly variance.
  • Prepare check requests as well as initiating wires as needed for various entities managed in the US. Ensure all payments are posted in a timely manner.
On a monthly basis:
  • Review and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain overhead comparison schedule.
  • Prepare accruals entries.
  • Prepare operating analysis as needed.
  • Prepare Corporate Recharge templates and updating cash logs (2x).
  • Responsible for month end deliverables for various entities, including balance sheet & income statement analysis; additionally, there are shared responsibilities within the larger organizational structure.
On a quarterly basis:
  • Prepare receivable invoices and correspond with respective teams to ensure timely collection on payment and follow-up as needed.
  • Assist with preparation standalone financial workpapers.
  • Prepare and maintain 1099 file.
  • Provide appropriate information to functional teams to complete the quarterly re-forecast against original budget.
On an annual basis:
  • Assist with preparation of consolidated financial workpapers.
  • Assist with Agreed Upon Procedure process.
  • Assist Controllers with preparation of audit work papers including fixed assets, accruals, prepaid accounts etc.
  • Assist Controller in preparation of intercompany work papers including elimination schedules and reconciliations for the global consolidation.
  • Assist Controller in preparation of financial statements and footnotes (i.e. foreign currency adjustments, statements of cash flow, footnote disclosure schedules, etc.)
  • Assist in preparation of the state apportionment schedules and tax template workpapers (K-1 pick-ups and Schedule M) for tax firm.
Other:
  • Special Ad Hoc reports as requested.
  • Prepare TSCE intercompany confirmation process.
  • Provide assistance in any detailed budget variance analysis.
  • Backup staff as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting role, public accounting experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate computer system and effectively input and upload/download pertinent information.
  • Ability to and has sufficient knowledge of computer software currently utilized by the Company.
  • Ability to effectively listen to co-workers and respond to their requests.
  • Ability to prepare intercompany reports, foreign exchange gains/losses.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and written.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel (including pivot tables, Vlookups etc...)
  • Dynamics D365 experience preferred.

The base compensation range for this role is $85,00 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer's New York team, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
