Job Description

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing industry client in Hastings, MI who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for a Staff Accountant career who are ready to start right away of in the next few weeks. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare and analyze financial statements, manage cost and inventory accounting, and more.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close – including preparation of financial statements and forecasts
Cost Accounting – track direct/indirect costs, perform annual cost roll, and support cycle counts
Inventory Management – monitor for negative/obsolete inventory and maintain accurate records
Fixed Assets & Capital Project Oversight – manage fixed asset ledger and capital expenditures
Audit & Compliance Support – assist in audits and ensure regulatory compliance

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

Demonstrate progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Have strong knowledge of ERP systems and general ledger management
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
