Project Accountant
Location: Onsite in Columbus, OH
Salary: $85,000-$95,000

Key Responsibilities of the Project Accountant:

• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure the financial and administrative accuracy of projects, including monthly invoicing aligned with contract requirements.
• Set up billing processes, track project progress, and handle project closeouts efficiently.
• Coordinate consultant invoices and payments in accordance with established agreements.
• Maintain and audit contract files, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Ensure project costs are accurately recorded; make necessary labor and expense adjustments.
• Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals, change orders, and invoices within the financial system.
• Professionally and promptly address inquiries from clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

Preferred Qualifications of the Project Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Experience in construction, design, or project cost accounting is a plus.
• AIA billing and/or prevailing wage experience is a plus.
