Position Summary:
This position assists in the documentation, oversight, and control of finished goods inventory, Raw materials and Ingredients in the facility both from customers as well as the company while specializing in the posting in various customer systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Monitor Customer scheduled production across all production lines. Verify production numbers on all runs upon completion. Work cross-departmentally to troubleshoot issues with inventory variances, deficiencies, and other issues. Correspond with Shipping, and Production teams regarding ongoing training, troubleshooting issues, and other updates as needed. Coordinates and performs regular inventory counts of raw materials and finished goods as required by customers and company.
Updates discrepancies in ERP system as well as issue new tag/reprint tag. Documents discrepancies to ensure disciplinary action can be taken.
Verifies clerical computations against physical count of product and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Evaluate/address issues with finished goods LPN's that come off the line during Production runs Resolve issues and escalate issues to System Administrator for resolution as needed Assist Production with Variance reporting of Finished Goods and Raw Materials as needed Troubleshoot issues requiring additional consumption for Finished Goods creation Once variance is reported, notify Accounting of which Production orders are ready for invoicing to customer Troubleshoot issues with missed scans on Finished goods and resolve in timely manner so as not to negatively impact Production Resolve Production related issues affecting other departmental operations Assist in moving and storing of product and materials as needed. Assist in staging and preparation of documentation for product and material being picked up or shipped Assist in set up and control of FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials to the various departments of the company as requested.
Combine partial pallets according to customer requirements. Assist in analyzing damaged product Follows proper destruction procedures
Helps coordinate month ending physical inventories and any additional reporting required by Customers Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the manager/customer. Position Requirements:
above average verbal and written communication skills Thorough knowledge of production operations and warehousing operations, including all safety requirements. Must be goal oriented and be able to work independently. Must also have above average Customer Service skills dealing with both internal and external customers. Microsoft Office Experience Preferred. Must also be able to be licensed to operate forklift High High School Diploma or G.E.D 3-5 years Warehouse experience is preferred, but not required. Work Environment:
This position works entirely in a warehouse and production environments which includes high-speed equipment and cement floors. Noise, dust, and variable temperature may be typical in this work environment. Hours may vary depending on EOM and cycle counts being completed.
Must be forklift certified
Physical Demands:
This position is required to stand hard surfaces for half of their shift. Also, regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs. Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.
