Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller with 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and controlling all project documentation in accordance with company procedures and client specifications, supporting engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, and archiving of engineering, vendor, and project documentation. Maintain document control databases and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all documentation in EDMS platforms. Interface with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and Project Management) to ensure timely document submissions and responses. Ensure all documents comply with client and internal standards for formatting, numbering, and revision control. Control the flow of project documents between the company, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist in the compilation of Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), final data books, and project close-out deliverables. Monitor document turnaround times and issue periodic reports to management and project teams. Support audits and ensure document control compliance with project and company requirements. Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in document control within the oil and gas industry (EPC, manufacturing, or subsea preferred). Strong working knowledge of document control standards and procedures. Experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, PIMS, SharePoint, M-Files, or similar. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Familiarity with API, ASME, or ISO standards is a plus. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
