POSITION SUMMARY The Student Enrollment Advisor serves as a key member of the university's frontline recruitment and onboarding team. This position is responsible for guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment, ensuring a responsive, informative, and student-first experience. Working in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment, the Advisor executes outreach campaigns, builds strong relationships with students and families, and manages an assigned caseload to support application completion, onboarding progress, and first-day readiness. This role combines high-volume communication, recruitment event support, and case management to convert interest into enrollment. The position requires an on-campus presence, with frequent local travel for school visits, community engagement, and partnership development.
Responsibilities: • Manage a defined caseload of prospective students, guiding them through every stage of the recruitment funnel-from initial inquiry through enrollment-ensuring timely completion of the application, transcript submission, FAFSA, immunization records, required paperwork, housing, and other onboarding milestones. • Monitor and track student progress through the application, financial aid, and onboarding process; proactively resolve barriers by collaborating with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Life, and Academic Advising. • Engage family decision-makers by providing financial aid guidance, connecting them to campus resources, and offering support in completing all enrollment requirements. • Travel extensively to represent the university at in-person recruitment events, including high school visits, college fairs, community programs, and corporate or military sites. Overnight and weekend travel may be required to build strong connections with students, families, and community partners. • Conduct outreach through multiple channels (phone, text, video calls, email, and in-person meetings) with personalized and timely communication aligned with university messaging. • Maintain accurate student records in the CRM system, documenting outreach, follow-up, and task completion to ensure transparency and accountability. • Support on-campus recruitment and yield events, including campus tours, admitted student programs, and orientation sessions, requiring regular presence on campus in addition to travel duties. • Meet or exceed recruitment performance benchmarks, including outreach volume, application completion, deposit rates, and enrollment yield. • Provide feedback and insights from travel, student interactions, and caseload management to inform recruitment strategies and improve processes. • Complete all university-required training and adhere to protocols for data privacy, equity, compliance, and student support. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required. • 1-3 years of experience in admissions, recruiting, institutional knowledge, or student-facing enrollment services preferred. • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance or recruitment goals, with a proven track record of achieving metrics on a regular basis. • Excellent communication and customer service skills across multiple platforms. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a large caseload independently. • Proficiency in CRM systems, data entry, and task tracking. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment while maintaining a student-first approach. • Willingness and ability to travel locally to schools and businesses as part of recruitment and outreach activities. • On-campus presence required; this is not a remote position. • Ability to work independently, yet within a strong team environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule • Multilingual skills highly preferred • Ability to contribute to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
