South Umpqua School District is seeking a dedicated and organized Food Server Lead to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that students receive nutritious meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The Food Server Lead is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining sanitation standards, supporting staff, and ensuring meals are served efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of food service and commercial cooking equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Current Food Handler's Certificate. Computer skills required

(including use of meal tracking systems and basic email communication). Essential Responsibilities: Lead kitchen operations to ensure meals are prepared and served on time. Maintain sanitation standards and oversee cleaning of dishes, equipment, and kitchen areas. Place food and supply orders as directed; maintain accurate inventory. Assemble, portion, and serve meals to students and staff. Maintain accurate records of food production and meals served. Assist students with using the Mealtime system as needed. Cooperate with custodial, maintenance, and other staff to ensure cafeteria readiness. Follow district safety, health, and confidentiality procedures. Train and support kitchen staff as needed. Working Conditions: Indoor school kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, moving equipment, and sharp tools. Requires frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. About the Role:

The Food Server Lead position differs from the Food Server role in that it carries additional responsibility for kitchen management, ensuring readiness for meal service, and maintaining accurate records.

Assignment is 6 hours per day / 5 days per week/10-month employee

Salary Range: $15.94-$22.96 Depending on experience
