We are looking to add an additional Mechanical Designer to our Drafting Department who will provide excellent support to our cross-functional teams. This position is responsible for creating 3D models and 2D drawings of our custom engineered industrial fans, using sales supplied specifications and company created standards. Must be able to accurately complete a bill of material for purchasing materials needed for fabrication and assembly of required fan components.

What You will Do

Create a 3D model or modify an existing model using Autodesk Inventor. Make accurate 2D assembly and detail drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Generate bearing check-out runs, shaft runs and liner fastener calculations. Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality product is provided and all customers' requirements are met. Communicate progress on a timely basis with all internal customers. Follow drafting, engineering, and production procedures for accurate transfer of information. Work towards on time delivery of all documents and information Follow current practice for documenting and organizing information in the current file system. Provide input for process and design improvement. Review sales orders along with job requirements for every job. Provide a complete and accurate bill of material before releasing the job. What You Will Bring

Associate degree, trade school degree or relevant years of experience. Ability to frame ideas with a sketch or quick drawing. Experience in AutoCAD and Inventor software. Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of sheet metal layout, and problem solving. Well-organized and able to adapt and effectively multi-task and prioritize. Must take initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team. Excellent analytical, time-management, and project management skills. Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
