Description

Position Summary:

As a Banquet Cook, you'll be part of a dynamic culinary team executing events from intimate 20-guest dinners to grand galas serving 300. Working under supervision, you'll prepare and execute menu items to exacting standards while developing the independence and judgment needed to "cook like a chef, not just follow a recipe." This role offers significant growth potential as we continue to expand our venues and event operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to standardized recipes and banquet event orders (BEOs). Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of both on-site and off-site events, including transforming unique spaces into elevated dining experiences. Maintain mise en place and readiness for service at all scales, from 20 to 1,000 covers. Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment, including RATIONAL iVario/Combi ovens and Alto-Shaam systems. Collaborate closely with banquet and culinary teams to ensure consistent quality, timing, and presentation. Uphold food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance). Support receiving, labeling, storage, and rotation of products (FIFO). Contribute to a positive team culture built on communication, collaboration, and pride in execution. Perform additional duties as assigned by the chef or sous chef. Requirements

Qualifications

1-2 years of professional kitchen experience (banquet, hotel, or high-volume preferred). Strong knife skills and foundational cooking techniques. Familiarity with RATIONAL and Alto-Shaam equipment preferred. Ability to read and follow recipes, prep lists, and BEOs while learning to work independently. Flexible schedule - including nights, weekends, and holidays - in line with event demands. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
