Controller Location: Honolulu, HI | Full-Time | On-Site
We are working with a well-established company in Honolulus hospitality industry that is looking to hire a Controller to lead their accounting and financial operations. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong leadership skills and industry knowledge.
As a recruiting partner supporting this search, we're looking for someone who can bring both hands-on accounting expertise and strategic oversight to a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and financial forecasts Monitor cash flow, oversee bank relationships, and ensure financial compliance Communicate regularly with executive leadership and the board of directors, providing financial updates and strategic insight Work closely with senior leadership to support financial planning and business decisions Supervise and develop accounting team members Coordinate with external auditors and support the year-end audit process Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting (required) Minimum of 57 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role Prior experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Proficient in accounting software and Excel Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications:
CPA license (a plus, but not required) Experience with multi-entity accounting or hospitality-specific systems
