Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with DPAS Specialist and Board of Education policy.

Minimum Qualifications Must currently hold an RBT certification or be eligible for certification by June 2026 Bachelor's Degree in special education or related field ABA knowledge/ experience preferred Experience working with diverse populations Overview:

Intervene with exceptional students with behavior issues and teachers to provide coaching, training and support on implementing student specific plans, evidence-based practices, data collection and de-escalation response research-based, field-tested interventions. Consult and team with building leadership and staff, district BCBAs and interventionists, and the special service department? Provide direct support to students in the district and collect data around student progress and interventions. Collaborate with other educational settings such as Kent County Intensive Learning Center, Parkway Senator Step Up and Delaware Guidance to maximize success for Capital School District Students in those environments. Develop relationships with community agencies such as DE Guidance and Division of Prevention, CRISIS and Behavioral Health Services to provide resources to Capital School District Students. Sit on the district climate committee Attend monthly PLC's Monitor classroom behaviors during instruction, collect data on specific student behaviors and assist in implementation of interventions and behavior programs. Assist with data collection, file review, assessments and support for Tier 3 students. Participate in the school's IST (Intervention Support Team) Model implementation of interventions and strategies in the classroom. Review students IEP's/ Behavior Plans Monitor progress data for Behavior Goals and BIP's Observe staff and provide them with feedback regarding Behavior Intervention Plan/ IEP implementation of behavior goals Plan and facilitate targeted intervention groups to teach strategies and replacement behaviors aligned with individual student needs, using data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices. Provide support to administrators and coach staff regarding effective interventions and behavior techniques. Train appropriate staff regarding the use of behavior management programs for individual students. Attend IEP meetings, parent and case conferences as needed. Assist staff in writing behavioral plans for students and assist with the implementation of these plans. Serve on crisis intervention teams as needed and participate in manifestation determination meetings. Provide support to students who are not achieving success in their comprehensive building and who are transitioning from a hire level of care to a less restrictive environment. Support referral and transition process for students who require a high level of care and students transitioning to a less restrictive environment .
