A well-established food manufacturing operation is hiring Maintenance Electricians to join its production facility in Fleetwood, PA.
These openings are for 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm)
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on electrical background in a manufacturing environment, with experience working from schematics and performing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. This is a full-time, day shift role with occasional overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install, relocate, modify, and maintain plant electrical systems and equipment including motors, control wiring, conduit, lighting, and switchgear, following local and state codes.
-Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in electrical systems and machinery, reporting and correcting issues in a timely manner.
Execute preventive maintenance routines on production and facility electrical components.
-Overhaul or repair components such as relays, magnetic starters, and electric motors, including seals, bearings, and armatures.
-Use electrical test equipment and standard hand tools to fabricate and assemble new equipment or parts.
-Perform calibrations, adjustments, and repairs on production support equipment such as metal detectors, labelers, checkweighers, scales, and package coding machines.
-Assist in the training and development of other maintenance personnel as assigned.
-Enter maintenance data and equipment logs as needed.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas using standard cleaning tools and practices.
-Occasionally operate a forklift and complete related safety checklists and fuel/oil maintenance.
Key Requirements:
-Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting methods.
-Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
-Familiarity with equipment used in food or industrial manufacturing environments.
-Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 pounds.
-Willingness to work overtime when required.
-Ability to work independently while maintaining safety and accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
-Prior experience as an industrial or maintenance electrician in a manufacturing or processing facility.
-Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and fabrication machinery such as drill presses and shears.
-Must complete safety-related training, including ARC Flash training and limited forklift certification (training provided).
-Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, with strong communication skills.
