We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a growing industrial operation in Hanover, PA. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems and equipment that keep production running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical expertise who enjoys solving complex problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, conduit, switches, relays, fuses, and AC/DC circuits in line with the National Electrical Code.
- Diagnose and service motors, commutators, armatures, and perform brush installation and repairs.
- Wire and maintain electrical panels, cabinets, relays, and control equipment based on engineering diagrams.
- Perform lighting system installations and repairs (fluorescent, incandescent, vapor-proof, and explosion-proof fixtures).
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot generators and transformers.
- Complete necessary reports, keep work areas organized, and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Support general maintenance tasks when needed, including lift truck battery maintenance and mentoring apprentices.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 4+ years of experience in maintenance electrical work; prior manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AC & DC drive controls and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and work from prints, schematics, and engineering instructions.
- Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities.
