HR Assistant – Direct Hire

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Compensation: $24-$26/hour

About the Role:

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Assistant to join our client's team in Costa Mesa. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of HR experience , particularly in workers’ compensation and benefits administration , who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment , answering questions and guiding them through the process.
  • Manage and process workers’ compensation claims , ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Handle HR paperwork related to onboarding, benefits, and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant.
  • Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative tasks and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of HR experience , with a focus on benefits administration and workers’ compensation .
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (preferred).
