EDUCATION

B.S. or B.A. required; specialized credit underwriting education and training.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience in accounting, lending, or related positions. Formal credit training program or certification preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS • Knowledge and experience working with nCino lending platform. • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills. • Knowledge of current loan servicing procedures, lending laws, and regulations. • Proficient management skills. • Moderate computer skills.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overseeing the credit evaluation, approval, and portfolio management of consumer loan products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Manages consumer credit administration activities in order to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of loan accounts as follows:

a. Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with established bank lending policies, procedures, and risk management practices.

b. Ability to interpret and apply banking regulations (e.g., Reg B, Reg Z, FCRA, UDAAP).

c. Assists with regulatory compliance efforts; monitors department adherence to state, federal, and banking regulations.

d. Partners with internal personnel and lending customers to resolve issues, provide guidance, and support positive client experiences.

e. Coordinates closely with the internal collections department to minimize credit losses, maximize recoveries, and strengthen portfolio quality.

f. Recommends process improvements, system enhancements (e.g., nCino), and workflow changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

g. Provides input on credit policy development and training initiatives to ensure consistent application of standards across consumer lending.

h. Provides management support of credit card platform

2. Supports administration of nCino system, including:

a. Management and customization of system reporting.

b. Oversight of the Sales Management Process within nCino.

c. Collaboration with the nCino administrator to implement enhancements and ensure system functionality.

d. Participation in testing and validation of system upgrades or new features.

3. Implements strategic and innovative strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department as established in the annual operating plan.

4. Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors and service providers.

5. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

6. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.; ensures that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.

7. Coordinates departmental tasks with coworkers inside and outside the department in order to ensure an efficient process and the completion of essential tasks needing proper segregation of duties.

8. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within give time frames and within established policy.

9. Communicates with the Chief Lending Officer, other department managers, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.

10. Provides periodic reports to the Chief Lending Officer, President & CEO, Chief Financial Officer and other groups as required throughout the bank.

ANCILLARY DUTIES

1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual or departmental circumstances.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than two-thirds of the time. • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to accomplish tasks. • Frequently communicates with others to exchange information. • Constantly moves wrists, hands, and/or fingers. • Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
