We're hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Richmond, VA plant-people who know how to keep things moving and take pride in doing the job right. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, facility systems, and plant utilities using SAP-generated work orders. Conduct daily inspections of assigned equipment to identify issues that may impact safety, quality, or efficiency. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including PLCs, relays, motors, and AC/DC circuits. Support continuous improvement by identifying root causes of recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions. Train operators and other team members on basic maintenance checks and proper equipment care. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including time worked, parts used, and job completion notes in SAP. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and outside vendors on major repairs, upgrades, and equipment installations. Submit requisitions for replacement parts and recommend critical spares to minimize downtime. Adhere to all company safety programs, including Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, GMP standards, and OSHA regulations. Participate in improvement efforts tied to Sabert's sustainability, energy reduction, and reliability goals. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Ability to diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including blueprints, equipment drawings, manuals, and training materials. Proven ability to use basic and industry-specific tools; prior experience using shop equipment such as welders, mills, and lathes is preferred but not required. Prior experience safely diagnosing electrical and control systems is preferred but not required; systems may include relays, timers, three-phase motors, and AC drives. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills required. Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and OEM technical documentation. Prior use of SAP or similar computerized maintenance systems preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and flexibility for weekend or emergency overtime coverage. Candidates will be required to complete a written skills assessment as part of the interview process.
