Position Description

Human Resources Specialist

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources will oversee and manage pre-employment, mandatory compliance processes, and the associated record keeping. The position performs routine tasks required to assist/administer various human resource programs and initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages the scheduling of the organizations mandatory compliance training programs to assure all requirements are met by each employee to include new hire and annual required trainings, re-certifications; etc.
  • Manages all pre-employment activities (to include statutory requirements).
  • Conducts thorough onboarding activities for all new staff, transfers, and interns that meets the organizations, Department of Social Services and other agency's compliance mandates.
  • Responsible for ensuring all employee data: personnel records, compliance, testing, certifications, etc. are maintained, secured and readily available in a coordinated manner for auditing purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field required.
  • At least two years of related experience preferred.
  • Current HR Certification or willingness to pursue is preferred.

This is a permanent full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 p.m.
