Job Title: Human Resources Specialist
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Specialist, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, will oversee and manage pre-employment, mandatory compliance processes, and the associated record keeping. The position performs routine tasks required to assist/administer various human resource programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manages the scheduling of the organization\'s mandatory compliance training programs to assure all requirements are met by each employee, including new hire and annual required trainings, re-certifications, etc.
- Manages all pre-employment activities (to include statutory requirements).
- Conducts thorough onboarding activities for all new staff, transfers, and interns that meet the organization\'s, Department of Social Services and other agency\'s compliance mandates.
- Responsible for ensuring all employee data: personnel records, compliance, testing, certifications, etc. are maintained, secured and readily available in a coordinated manner for auditing purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
Education and Experience
- Associate\'s degree in human resources, business, or a related field required.
- At least two years of related experience preferred.
- Current HR Certification or willingness to pursue is preferred.
- This is a permanent full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 p.m.
