Sterling Engineering is looking for a Commissioning Provider to support data center projects across the U.S. This opportunity is 100% remote with approximately 50-70% travel to commissioning sites. It is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Duties: Coordinate with general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and owners verbally and in writing. Perform design reviews including OPR, BOD, plans, and specifications. Review submittals and shop drawings. Conduct periodic site observation visits and prepare site observation reports. Develop project-specific test scripts (Level 2 Installation Verification Checklists, Level 4 Functional Performance Tests, Level 5 Integrated Systems Tests). Perform onsite execution and witnessing of commissioning tests. Manage resolution of commissioning issues. Work around live components, three-phase AC power systems, DC power systems, and fire alarm systems. Skills:

Strong engineering knowledge, specifically in the built environment. Comfortable working around mechanical HVAC equipment and systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with air- and water-cooled chillers, chilled water systems, air handling systems, and Building Automation Systems. Knowledge of equipment and mechanical system sequences of operation and ability to develop/document test scripts. Experience with equipment startup and commissioning, including witnessing contractor activation and functional testing. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning, or project management experience. Experience in the design and/or construction of Data Centers a plus. Professional Engineering (PE) license a plus. OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety required; OSHA 30-hour preferred. NFPE-70E required. Field experience preferred. Certification in Building Commissioning is preferred but not required. Software:
