Job Summary:
The Food Service Worker will provide routine food preparation and customer assistance services throughout the restaurant.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve drinks and foods such as sandwiches, salads, and dressings according to customer specifications
• Provide menu information and suggestion to customers including wine and food suggestions and explanations of ingredients and preparation methods
• Assist with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks
• Operate grill, broiler, or deep-fat fryer to prepare specific fast foods
• Arrange table settings and folds napkins according to restaurant standard
• Clear, clean, and sanitize tables
• Maintain, clean, and sanitize workstations
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and return to appropriate location in the kitchen area
• Refill condiments or other supplies
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Education and Experience:
• Some high school coursework required
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing and walking
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of restaurant
-Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• May be required work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment
Background Screening:
• Must be able to past a Level II background check. NO EXCEPTIONS!
