Overview
The HR Director will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor, responsible for driving all aspects of the performance management and succession planning cycle to align with the company’s strategic goals. This role will build and lead a high-performing team of HR Business Partners, champion talent development, and deliver effective people strategies across the organization. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, the HR Director will ensure seamless execution of HR initiatives that foster a strong employee experience, promote organizational effectiveness, and support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in performance management, coaching, and employee relations, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead all aspects of the performance management cycle, build a team of HRBPs to evolve in performance management and succession process to support our strategic agenda.
- Consult with business units, employees, managers and leaders as a trusted strategic advisor/partner to design and execute the goal of development.
- Understand business strategy and drive process for operation functions that deliver a great employee and manager experience. Provide programs across multiple workstreams and drive tactical execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including TA Business Partners, Compensation, HRIS colleagues to deliver multi-face performance management cycles and talent reviews.
- Leverage employer branding tech and tools.
- Coach managers and leaders in giving feedback, navigating challenging and ambiguous situation and working through employee relations concerns.
- Bring diversity, inclusion and culture programs and support DEI initiatives.
- Actively work on other projects assigned by executive leaders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, SHRM certification preferred
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR leadership with 3+ years of continuous support of senior level leadership
- Prior experience partnering with retail industry is a plus
- Demonstrated experience of coaching leaders through performance management and employee relations concerns
- Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Effective listener and persuasive communicator able to influence actions and outcomes at all levels
- Shows intellectual curiosity about people and organizational issues with strong business acumen
- Ability to multi-task and contribute to a team-oriented environment

- Project and Time Management: Must manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Comfortable operating in ambiguity and leading change initiatives, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Technology Use: Proficient in HR systems and performance management platforms; must be able to use employer branding and communication tools to support people programs.
- Physical Requirements: Primarily sedentary role with standard office requirements. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required during key planning or review cycles.
