Salary Range = $63,000 - $68,000/year based upon qualifications

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Goal: To complete the business office functions assigned allowing for efficient operations of the business department.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting degree preferred but not required Knowledge of school accounting software: preferred MS Office/Google Proficiency Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of staff Experience in a school district business office is desirable. General office skills including the ability to operate a computer and word processing and financial software. Knowledge of special education data collection is desirable. Duties and Responsibilities: *Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Assist Business Manager when needed Reviews and analyzes budget expenditures, makes recommendations for change in budget expenditures, and completes budget development as required; develops reports with historical, current, and/or projected cost data inclusive of payroll expenditures Assist the Business Department with accounting procedures Monitor payroll and salary allocations for all of SASED Assist with budget preparation and tuition calculation Prepares the Monthly Financial Summary and Treasurer's Report for the Board of Control and the Annual Financial Statement for publication in accordance with the School Code of Illinois.

Maintain and update Skyward (yearly setup, staff management, fiscal year end) Monitor the student activity funds; process payments and deposits Complete the Monthly Revenue and expense report Process journal entries as needed Assist member district in cost sheet calculations for claims through iStar Ensures compliance with federal and state requirements where applicable and in accordance with the Illinois Public School accounting principals. Maintains an ongoing review of financial records for the Cooperative ensuring proper distribution to cost centers, reconciling all bank accounts maintained by the Board Manage SASED 403b/457 retirement process Assist with the annual audit Complete the transportation claim annually Act as the Food Service Director for the Lunch Program Create school to school meal agreements Manage Food Handlers Manage monthly reporting

Facilitate lease agreement with the member districts Complete all necessary paperwork for SASED Grants Monitor expenditures against the grant budgets Send expenditure report to grant coordinator for review Submit monthly expenditure reports to ISBE

The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet/moderate to loud. The employee is frequently required to interact with other staff and visitors. The employee is directly responsible for the safety and well-being of students.

Terms of Employment: 259 day work year at compensation set by the SASED Board of Directors.

Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the SASED Board policy on evaluation of educational support staff.
