Position Title: Event Sales ManagerReports to: Director of SalesPosition Summary: Generation of top line catering and group room revenue for the hotel and function space by maximizing all revenue potential and up-selling additional events/amenities, whenever possible, to build additional revenues.Duties and Responsibilities:Handle and follow up on all inquiries for social events including but not limited to Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners, Showers, Galas, and Birthday parties both with and without guestrooms.Responsible for always providing the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients.Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers and deliver clear and concise communique that is representative of Fair Oaks Farms.Maintain existing assigned accounts/contacts, and work diligently to develop new business for Fair Oaks FarmsSolicit, negotiate and book new business and repeat business while adhering to prime time selling standards and maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goalsManage the day-to-day relationship between the operations and the client, to ensure excellent service and smooth event deliveryAssist in planning client's events while coordinating Food and Beverage activitiesEnsure an optimal level of service, quality and hospitality for our guests by being their contactReview and direct the work of outside contractors when needed while ensuring setup, pricing and following through meets hotel and corporate quality standards and customer satisfaction is achievedApproach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented mannerMaintain a high stands of personal appearance and groomingSet personal goals with the Director of Sales and meet or exceed goals and revenue goalsDevelop menus and agendas, ensure BEOs are issued in a timely and accurate manner, and complete all pertinent correspondence with outside vendors to finalize programs.Maintain pricing integrity and propose upscale menus for all groups.Respond to guest complaints in a timely mannerKeep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attentionWork with other managers, keeping them informed of issues as they arise.Maintain current information and monitor booking trends to produce forecast figures and month-end reportsJob Requirements:Exhibit computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and familiarity with brand specific property Management System(s). Use knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, Delphi and Outlook.Exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, listening, and math skills.Use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.Maintain contact and event information and follow procedures for submitting sales contracts.Read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.Education or Experience:Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Business, Management or related fieldMinimum two (2) years catering sales, or two (2) years in hotel Catering/Convention Services, Banquet, Hotel Sales or Culinary Arts; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must posses a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to drive
