Business Systems Analyst Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: Join our Agile team as a Business Systems Analyst, responsible for providing customer and application support for the Department of Navy (DoN). You will: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and government customers to design, build, and deliver innovative features supporting modernization efforts. Identify opportunities for AI applications, data analysis, software development, and audit compliance. Manage project deliverables throughout the software development life cycle. Be a motivated, responsive, and proactive analyst dedicated to delivering critical software solutions that support Navy operations. Demonstrate commitment to producing robust software, adaptability to project needs, attention to detail, and quality assurance. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, exceeding expectations and aligning with the Navy’s mission. Bring innovative problem-solving skills and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities: Support operational areas including customer support, agile development, application analysis, SOP development, audit compliance, training, and Help Desk support. Provide expertise in PPBE to enhance application functionality and automate processes. Gather requirements, analyze data, and collect metrics to improve efficiency. Coordinate between technical teams, government sponsors, and end users for software releases and deliverables. Ensure compliance with financial and IT audit standards, develop audit documentation and plans. Qualifications: Required: 4+ years experience with the software development life cycle, including customer support in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in enterprise financial databases and training others. Flexibility to support off-hours and weekends. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience defining complex requirements and delivering on commitments. Ability to obtain an Interim/Secret Clearance. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Located in the Washington, DC area with daily onsite work at the Pentagon. Desired: Experience with DoD/Federal agencies, financial/PPBE processes, Agile (Jira), and creating CBT with Adobe Captivate. Experience with AI tools, data analytics. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, retirement, wellness, and education support. This position is available in multiple locations; the salary range reflects the national average.
