Mantua Township Schools
We are seeking a Food Services Worker at our Sewell School. Employment is for five (5) hours per day, 10 months per year at a rate of $15.49 per hour.
The Food Services Worker shall:
* Have the ability to complete math problems involving simple fractions and decimals. * Have the ability to read and write. * Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative. * Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community. * Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
The Food Services Worker shall also:
* Ensure that the highest standards of safety and sanitation are followed in the kitchen. * Assist in preparing and serving of all food items as indicated on the monthly menu. * Prepare food according to the planned menu and tested uniform recipes. * Serve the correct portion sizes to students and staff in compliance with all state and Federal guidelines. * Stock all serving stations with food prior to each serving period in sufficient quantities and in an appetizing way. * Set up serving lines with all necessary supplies, utensils, and equipment. * Maintain correct holding temperature of food. * Take accurate meal counts at the point of service, following all state and Federal regulations. * Use all kitchen equipment as necessary. * Assist in storing deliveries and rotating stock. * Clean and sanitize all equipment, tables, preparation areas and serving counters. * Operate a cash register and to prepare all reports as needed. * Take direction and instruction from the Food Services Manager. * Report any problems or accidents occurring in the kitchen or the cafeteria to the Food Services Manager.
