POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position contributes to the achievement of Company and Plant objectives by overseeing efficient, cost-effective assembly of filters. The supervisor directs the activities of department personnel to complete production schedules safely and on time, while controlling costs, efficiency, quality, and equipment. This role operates within company rules and procedures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Advise the Production Manager about the department's status and provide relevant information affecting the company/division. Manage personnel to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity. Submit daily paperwork accurately and on time. Review production schedules to plan work and assign tasks. Supervise personnel in analyzing specifications to verify design correctness. Highlight deficiencies to appropriate personnel. Ensure assembly lines and machinery are set up with required materials per schedules. Oversee proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Verify and approve production reports at each shift's end. Collaborate with other departments to meet corporate and plant goals. Communicate regarding incomplete schedules, deficiencies, changes, or problems. Anticipate production delays and take corrective actions to meet schedules. Report delays to Plant Manager, estimate delay duration, and notify when operations resume. Participate in employee selection, training, appraisal, and staffing adjustments. Investigate accidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Ensure quarterly inventory accuracy. Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety rules and procedures. Develop quality reports and address quality issues with corrective actions. Maintain good housekeeping within the department. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS: SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and telephones. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Safety glasses and protective clothing are mandatory at all times. Proper footwear and clothing are required. Ability to work in manufacturing conditions, including hot and cold environments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds. Ability to walk throughout the plant and perform physical tasks such as bending and stooping. Repetitive use of hands and arms may be required. Note:
