General Concessions Worker

Provide concession service to guests of the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium for daily operations and special events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sell and promote concession food and beverage products, including soft drinks and various food items.

Prepare and present basic food and drink products for guests according to assigned location.

May rotate among different outlets throughout venue to support operations and guest experience.

Provide show quality guest service in a friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional manner.

Interact with guests, and resolve guest concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to supervisor.

Process sales transactions via point of sale system by making entries accurately, quickly, and in a friendly manner.

Adhere to payment policies, processes acceptable forms of payment and issues receipts to customers.

Cashless venue; however, in cash-handling events, is responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that the cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.

Replenish condiments and general supplies, and maintains cleanliness and safety in general area.

Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.

May assist in washing / sanitizing dishes used for concessions or catered events.

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor/management.
