Heavy Equipment Mechanic

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will perform service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment in both the shop and field settings. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, requiring occasional travel for field service and training.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics effectively.
• Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems.
• Conduct repairs within DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to 'Ready to Rent' status.
• Perform and document inspections of fleet equipment.
• Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring proper storage of flammable items.

Essential Skills

• Solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment.
• Proficiency in mechanical and hydraulic system troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics.
• Capability to administer DOT inspections.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr.
