A growing civil construction and site development firm is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead complex land development and municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of field-driven experience, with a background in sitework and utility-heavy scopes. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with an organization known for high-volume ground-up development and in-house self-performance capabilities. You’ll report directly to executive leadership and work cross-functionally with internal teams, subcontractors, municipal contacts, and ownership groups to move projects forward efficiently.
About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role offering visibility, autonomy, and the ability to influence the success of multiple concurrent builds.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage civil construction projects up to $10M+
- Oversee job site operations, field teams, and subcontractor coordination
- Review estimates, change orders, and budgets to maintain cost control
- Lead client and vendor communications from preconstruction through closeout
- Track project milestones, inspections, and quality standards
- Supervise staff assignments and support field personnel performance
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of site development or heavy civil construction experience
- Strong background in land development, municipal utilities, and infrastructure
- Proven ability to manage field teams and self-perform scopes when needed
- Proficient in project management tools, estimating software, and blueprint reading
- Excellent communication and leadership skills across all project phases
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-volume ground-up development
- Familiarity with municipal regulations and compliance
