Job Description

Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders. Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket. Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion.

This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner. Candidates must undergo a pre-employment drug test, which screens for various substances following federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License in the state of residence with 3 years driving history.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no more than (1) type B violation in the past (3) years.
• At least 1 year of driving experience within the past 36 months operating a commercial motor vehicle with GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze.
• Ability to work independently, with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent driving in all weather conditions.
• Must follow safety regulations and be exposed to noise and machinery.
• Regularly walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and reach.
• Handle objects and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Physically qualified to drive per DOT standards; a medical exam will be conducted.
