Job Summary
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Sr. Graphic Designer specializing in packaging to join our team. This role involves creating 2D and 3D renderings, developing mechanicals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring packaging concepts to life. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in packaging design, a deep understanding of printing processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Create 2D and 3D renderings for product packaging.
• Develop mechanicals including layout, artwork, and file preparation for suppliers.
• Ensure packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and brand guidelines.
• Understand printing deco treatments including Pantones, foil, and other finishes.
• Use software such as TAG and ESKO to upload and approve artwork.
• Conceptualize secondary packaging designs and moodboards.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and manufacturing teams.
• Conduct design research and stay current with industry trends.
• Anticipate potential roadblocks and develop proactive solutions.
• Work with external vendors to ensure successful execution of packaging designs.
• Maintain high attention to detail and ensure error-free deliverables.
• Manage project timelines and deliver designs within deadlines.
• Adapt to changing project requirements and work well under pressure.
• Illustrate brand patterns for use across all mediums.
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in packaging design with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dimension).
• Experience with Rhino or SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of packaging principles, materials, and production processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of packaging design experience.
• Experience attending press checks.
• High proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to produce high-quality 2D renderings.
• Experience in fast-paced work environments.
• Familiarity with Adobe Dimension and mechanical layout processes.
