Overview

We have an immediate need for 1 desktop support technician to support the Navy through Leidos. We are looking for individuals with 6 months to 2+ years of desktop support experience. Hardware experience is a must. A fully adjudicated secret clearance and a Security+ CE certification are required. This position will be stationed at Naval Base San Diego.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain information technology systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments, including MS Server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized IT systems.
- Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers.
- Integrate multiple information systems in a networked environment, evaluate and resolve customer information system problems, perform required hardware upgrades and repairs to maintain mission capability.
- Install and configure wireless hubs, routers, switches, and various transmission media, server hardware and software, and ensure proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware and software for efficient operation on the network.
- Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area and Base Area Networks.
- Familiar with IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT.
Qualifications
- 6 months to 2+ years of desktop support experience; hardware experience is a must.
- Fully adjudicated secret clearance and Security+ CE certification.
- Entry level in experience classification.
- Experience with hardware support; candidates with only help desk experience may not be suited for this position.

Pay range: $36.00 per hour.
